The people closest to an issue hold expertise that can strengthen how organizations understand problems, make decisions, and design solutions. Yet lived experience is too often invited into the process through one-time consultations or storytelling opportunities that do not always translate into meaningful influence over what happens next.

We believe engagement should go further. Our approach helps organizations move beyond passive consultation toward genuine power-sharing and meaningful influence, creating the structures, practices, and capabilities needed for lived experience to shape decisions, programs, services, and systems.

Turning Equity Commitments Into Meaningful, Measurable Action

Based in Southwestern Ontario, Canada, Ensure Impact Consulting was founded in 2026 by Faith Musasa, BSc. Hons. Chemistry & Biology, MPH, PMP, a public health professional, project manager, and consultant with 20 years of experience across health and social care, research, evaluation, and project management.

Faith founded Ensure Impact to help organizations move beyond equity commitments and intentions toward meaningful, measurable action.

Our work focuses on Lived-Experience Integration, Stakeholder Engagement, Knowledge Translation, and Gender Integration, helping health and social care organizations, non-profits, and community programs embed lived experience and equity into how they design, deliver, measure, and improve their work.

Our Founder

Faith Musasa, BSc. Hons., MPH, PMP

As the founder of Ensure Impact, Faith is driven by a deeply personal understanding of resilience, perseverance, and the power of lived experience.

Having independently migrated from Zimbabwe, Southern Africa, as a young woman right out of high school, Faith’s journey has been shaped by courage and determination as she navigated and overcame barriers.

That lived experience fuels her commitment to ensuring that people’s experiences are not simply heard, but valued, respected, and translated into better programs, services, and systems.

For Faith, lived experience is not just a checkbox—it is a source of insight, power, and better solutions.

What We Do

Grounded in the WHO 2023 Framework for Meaningful Engagement, we help organizations strengthen their capacity to meaningfully integrate lived experience into decision-making, programs, and services.

Our services include:

• Lived-Experience Integration Readiness Audits to assess current practices, identify gaps, and develop practical roadmaps.

• Stakeholder Engagement to create safer, more inclusive, and meaningful opportunities for lived experience to shape decisions.

• Knowledge Translation to turn lived experience and technical knowledge into shared, accessible insights that inform action.

• Gender Integration to embed intersectional equity throughout engagement, co-design, and implementation.

Our approach is culturally aware, practical, trauma-informed, and relationship-driven. We take on the time-intensive work of meaningful engagement, reducing the burden on internal teams while strengthening the quality, equity, and accountability of programs and services.

The Knowledge We Bring Together

At Ensure Impact Consulting, we recognize three complementary sources of experiential knowledge:

1. Direct Lived Experience — Central to Decision-Making
Knowledge gained through personally experiencing health conditions, social circumstances, programs, or services.

2. Supporter Lived Experience — Broadening Understanding
Knowledge gained through supporting people directly affected by health or social circumstances, including family members, friends, caregivers, and other trusted supporters.

3. Practice-Based Expertise — Contributing Applied Insights
Knowledge gained through professional practice and firsthand experience delivering, coordinating, or supporting care, programs, and services, including the expertise of doctors, nurses, social workers, frontline practitioners, program staff, and other professionals.

Together, these perspectives strengthen understanding, inform collaborative decision-making, and contribute to more inclusive, responsive, and impactful programs and services.
