Person-Centered Strategy & Programming (PCSP)

The Person-Centered Strategy & Programming (PCSP) approach helps ensure that organizational strategy and programming is truly aligned with local needs and context and incorporates the perspectives and needs of all key stakeholders.

For health and social care services PCSP:

i) is based on equity principles

ii) prioritizes lived-experiences eg. patients, caregivers, program participants & second-hand experiential knowledge eg. providers, front-line staff, family & caregivers

iii) helps create and foster safe environments for effective collaboration and partnership and

iv) uniquely tailors initiatives to the local context for achieving meaningful and lasting impact

Consistently at the centre of all strategies Ensure Impact employs are people and their voices, both individually and collectively:

• From collecting knowledge/evidence/data to

• Facilitating an inclusive and collaborative Knowledge Translation process while

• Engaging all relevant stakeholders to help inform overall Strategy, Programming & Practice to ultimately

• Ensuring that organizations realize optimal, context specific impact in their mission-based work

As women and young people’s voices have been historically and systemically underrepresented in health and social care planning, their presence is important to ensure that their specific needs and perspectives are not overlooked or understated.

Emphasis of the PCSP is placed on strengthening real balanced mixed‑methods approaches for decision making that values and prioritizes lived-experience stories as equal and credible evidence alongside reported numbers and trends.
